Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Work: The contractor agrees to provide HVAC services including installation, repair, maintenance, or inspection as outlined in the estimate or work order. Any additional work must be approved by the customer before proceeding.

2. Estimates and Pricing: Estimates are valid for a limited time (e.g., 30 days).Prices may change if unforeseen issues arise (e.g., hidden damage, code requirements).Customer approval is required for additional charges.

3. Payment Terms Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

Deposits may be required for large jobs or equipment orders. Late payments may incur fees (e.g., interest or service charges).

4. Permits and Code Compliance: The contractor will comply with local building codes and regulations. Permit costs may or may not be included—this should be specified in the estimate.

5. Scheduling and Access: The customer must provide safe and timely access to the worksite. Delays caused by the customer may result in rescheduling fees.

6. Warranty: Labor warranty (e.g., 30 days to 1 year) covers workmanship. Manufacturer warranties apply to parts/equipment. Warranty is void if the system is tampered with or improperly maintained.

7. Liability: The contractor is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or hidden defects. The contractor is not liable for indirect damages (e.g., loss of business, discomfort due to downtime).

8. Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellation policies should specify any fees. Special-order equipment may be non-refundable.

9. Change Orders: Any changes to the original scope must be documented and approved in writing, including cost adjustments.

10. Safety and Property: The contractor will take reasonable precautions to protect the property. The customer must secure pets and clear work areas.

11. Force Majeure: The contractor is not responsible for delays due to events beyond control (e.g., weather, supply shortages).

12. Dispute Resolution: Disputes should first be addressed through negotiation. If unresolved, mediation or arbitration may be required before legal action.

13. Acceptance of Terms: By approving the estimate or allowing work to begin, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
